How to Choose a School for Your Children

 It is very stressful when comes to choosing a good school for your children. Here is some points you can think about:

1. make up your mind if you want your children to go to public or private school. 

2. a good government one can be as good as private

3. visit the school at the time when they finish, park your car as close as possible or even walk out and watch how their students behave. Also to observe how teachers discipline the students and how are the other parents behave as well.

4.  if you wanted to go private, simply go to as much open day as possible to see which one you like. Take time to observe other students not only listen to what the speaker say. Watch how their students dressing up and also spend time on the open area during recess or lunch.

5. if you wanted to go public, read the paper for their yearly school report

6. if you were outside their intake area, don't be disappointed. Call the school and ask them do they normally take students outside their boundary? How far will they consider? And also how was the percentage of outside boundary students for the past few years?

7. if the answers were positive, still enrol your child into that public school. But also enrol him/her to a private school as a safety net. 

8. if you really like one of the public school which you were outside their intake area. Do consider move into that area. Even those areas are usually more expensive, but take into consideration of the cost of private school over 12 years! Especially if you have more than 1 child. It may still worth the move. You will built your asset with your house in the same time.
